Portuguese architect filed a patent for delineation Galician rural settlements

Portuguese architect André Vasco Barbosa Brandao, member of research group LaboraTe (University of Santiago de Compostela), introduced a new system for the automatic delineation of rural settlements in local planning processes, applicable to the more than 10.000 that exist in Galicia. The system also allows the user to choose alternative approaches to the one defined in the regional Land Law, and makes use of an algorithm developed in collaboration with the Computer Architecture Group at the University of A Coruña.
