Francisco Javier López González

Francisco Javier López González (Ribadeo, 1963) is an Agricultural Engineer, Forestry Engineer, and holds a degree in Geography, with a diploma in Advanced Studies since 2001.
He has been a professor in the Department of Agroforestry Engineering at the University of Santiago de Compostela in the area of Graphic Expression in Engineering since 1997, teaching at the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering on the Lugo Campus. Currently, he teaches in the Bachelor’s degrees in Forestry and Natural Environment Engineering, Agricultural and Agri-Food Engineering, as well as in the Master’s degree in Planning and Territorial Management and in the IV University Cycle.
He is a member of the Territory Laboratory (GI-1934 TB), a research and teaching group at USC where the territory in a broad sense, and especially the rural territory, constitutes his main area of work.
He is the author of various publications on territorial and landscape topics and has participated in several works of a geographical nature. He also coordinated the edition of several works in this field. Additionally, he has participated in multiple projects related to teaching, adapting study plans to the European Higher Education Area, the management of USC, and the academic organization of his center.
From 2014 to 2019, he was the Coordinator on the Lugo Campus of the program “A Ponte between Secondary Education and USC,” dedicating a significant part of his professional activity to this task during that period and continues to collaborate on it currently.
