Next July 15, 2011 the registration period for the
Master in Sustainable Land Planning
will open. The deadline date is September 9, 2011 for students
of the Spanish education system, and August 31, 2011 for the rest.
The aim of this master degree is training professionals
that have a comprehensive view of planning, management and
sustainable development of land and territory. The first
edition of this master was held during the academic year
2010/2011 and had the participation of professors teaching
at universities outside the University of Santiago de Compostela,
as Harvey Jacobs
(University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA) or Per Kåre Sky
(University of Bergen , Norway). Moreover, a quarter of
enrolled students came from outside Spain.
This is an official qualification tailored to the requirements
of the European Higher Education Area.
Among the subjects taught are geomatics, rural development
policies, land valuation, negotiation and conflict resolution
or urban planning.
Finally, students are eligible for scholarships and preferential
interest loans granted by government agencies and non-for-profit foundations.
