José María Tubío, PhD student at the LaboraTe, has participated
in 6th International Conference of Planning Law and Property Rights
last week, which took place in Belfast (North Ireland) from
7th to 10th of February, with the
communication "Rights, Responsabilities and Equity in Land
Use Planning".
The paper presented at the conference is co-authored by
Rafael Crecente (PhD thesis supervisor) and Edwin Buitelaar
(researcher at the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency).
The paper compares the degree of institutional embeddedness
of land use planning in Galicia (Spain) and in the Netherlands,
as well as the reasons why the new land use acts of Galicia (2002)
and the Netherlands (2008) were passed.
