Professor Rafael Crecente Maseda, director of LaboraTe and
coordinator of the Master in Sustainable Land Planning,
has met with Fernanda Guerrieriz,
Subregional Coordinator for Central and Eastern Europe and
Deputy Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia
of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
(FAO). This meeting is part of the collaboration that since
2008 the USC, through the Land Laboratory (LaboraTe), holds
with FAO on land management.
In this meeting several issues of mutual interest were discussed,
especially the pursuit of innovation in models of land management
in situations of high degree of fragmentation. In this regard,
FAO reaffirmed its commitment to continue working on this
research line and shown its interest in collaborating in
the research, development and knowledge transfer activities
that are being carried out by the LaboraTe.
