From November, 12th to 15th the
4th Fourth International Workshop on Land Market Development and Land Consolidation
was held in Budapest (Hungary).
In this seminar two organizations from Galicia participated:
the USC's Land Laboratory (LaboraTe) and the Ministry of
Rural Environment and Sea of the Galician regional government,
with representatives of its Directorate General of Rural Development
and of the Land Bank of Galicia
(Bantegal).
The seminar was organized by the FAO
Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia and the the
Dutch Government Service for Land and Water Management.
Delegations from 30 European countries that work in the
field of land management and rural development attended
the seminar. The two main issues addressed were the various
aspects of the inner dynamics of land markets, by studing
several cases in different European regions, and the relationship
between these dynamics and the European policies aimed at
rural development.
Finally, the members of the LandNet network
discussed and developed proposals to implement the work
program for the next period from 2013 to 2015. One of the
main issues discussed were the ways to strengthen the network,
the issues of greatest interest and the most appropriate
type of activities to promote the exchange of experiences
and knowledge.
