Are we all responsible for the pace and shape of urbanization processes? Only as a colectivity, or as a result our individual attitudes too? (Lecture by Edwin Buitelaar)

Edwin Buitelaar, Senior Researcher at the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, gave lectures to students of the Master in Sustainable Land Planning on 15 and 16 January, 2013. Buitelaar is one of the contributors to the so called institutional turn in planning theory, which started around a decade ago. His research interests include trying to understand planning processes from the points of view of law, economics, or sociology. He is interested on institutional theory and the combination of old and new institutionalism to study ways for the financial support of urbanization processes.
