On July 22 Victor Gonzalez, professor at the Universidad
Técnica Particular de Loja, made a presentation of the
work developed during his stay in the Laboratory of the
Territory. The work was performed within the framework of
project Ecuador: Territorio Inteligente.
Consolidación de Innovación, Desenvolvemento, Investigación
e Transferencia (I+D+i+T) en Ordenación do Territorio
e Tecnoloxías da Información Xeoespacial, ECUIDIT,
where LaboraTe participates since 2012.
The topic was LiDAR technology for forestry applications,
focusing on volume rates for Pinus Radiata
in Galicia. The acquired experience with the use of LiDAR
technology will be replicated as much as possible in projects
of interest in Ecuador.
