What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Registration and Activity Forms
Our website includes interest forms for activities organized by LABORATE. The data provided through these forms is managed using the cloud-based tools of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC). As these are integrated into the University’s corporate network, the collection and processing of this information are carried out securely under USC criteria, for the sole purpose of managing your participation in said activities.
Data Analytics
To understand how our website is used and to improve its performance, we use Matomo, an open-source web analytics platform. The collected data is stored on our own or trusted servers and is not shared with third parties. This includes:
- IP address: (anonymized by masking the last bytes so the user cannot be identified).
- Device information: device type, browser, and operating system.
- Navigation data: pages visited and time spent on them.
By using Matomo, technical cookies are generated to distinguish unique visits from the same user without allowing personal identification. If you enable the “Do Not Track” option in your browser, Matomo will respect that setting and will not collect any information about your visit.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, maps, or data viewers). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

How long we retain your data
Data provided for activity registration will be kept only for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and to determine any possible liabilities that may arise from said purpose and the processing of the data.
