The pressure of human activities on natural resources continues to increase worldwide, driving environmental changes and land use competition amongst conflicting uses. In these contexts of confluence of multiple visions and interests, participatory planning is the necessary approach, which enables a comprehensive and conciliatory approach, considering the perspectives of all those involved in territorial management, for whom adaptation to climate change is a priority and transversal challenge. With this need ahead of us, IBADER, in collaboration with the Land Lab (LaboraTe), organizes a training on design, development and dynamization of participatory planning processes, applied to adaptation to climate change in agrarian systems.
The course, which will take place from April 2 to 4 in the IBADER building, is free or charge and is open for registration until March 15 (
http://bit.ly/4hH0VRm ) . It is structured in 3 thematic blocks:
- Design and development of participatory territorial planning processes
- Management and dynamization of participatory processes
- Participatory planning in adaptation to climate change
This training is oriented to researchers and technical staff of the Terra Campus, students as well as other interested people related to the topic.
The course will be provided by André Vizinho, PhD in participatory planning for adaptation of agriculture and forestry to climate change. He has wide experience in facilitating and developing participatory methods for climate change adaptation planning, and currently works as a consultant, facilitator and coordinator of projects on regenerative landscape planning and implementation.
