How would we like our villages to be within 20 years? What challenges do we need to address? How do we make it possible? How to move towards that vision? With these and many other questions in mind, the Land Lab is organizing the summer course
“Rural Revitalization: New Life for Villages and the Land” that will take place from
17 to 20 June in Lugo. It is held within the framework of the USC Summer Courses and is open for registration until
June 6.
The overall objective is to disseminate the initiatives that are being developed to revitalize rural Galicia in line with the European Commission's
Vision for Rural Areas in 2040, and thus achieve stronger and more connected, resilient and prosperous rural areas. The knowledge about the new instruments available to revitalise the rural territory and the innovative actions that different entities and organizations are developing in favor of rural development will facilitate its dissemination towards other territories. The course will address the key factors for rural revitalization based on the analysis of experiences and initiatives developed in Galicia and abroad, and will discuss the measures and tools necessary to promote and boost this revitalization.
The programme includes practical workshops to put in practice the knowledge or innovative solutions introduced in the presentations and round tables.
