Rocío Losada Iglesias

Rocío Losada Iglesias is an Agricultural Engineer from the University of Santiago de Compostela, holds an MSc in Geoinformatics for Natural Resource Management from the University of León, and earned her PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela, awarded with the distinction Summa Cum Laude.
Since 2021, she has been affiliated with the LaboraTe Research Group (GI-1934 TB, Territory and Biodiversity), where she has participated in several research projects related to green infrastructure, climate change, and spatial planning, while developing her doctoral thesis entitled “Green Infrastructure as an Instrument for Territorial Transformation in Contemporary Socio-Ecological Systems.”
Her work includes contributions to international conferences, seminars, and publications in specialized journals, including two articles indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
Since 2024, Rocío has been working as a Research and Innovation Officer at the Support Facility for Innovation and Knowledge Exchange, including the EIP-AGRI EU CAP Network, an initiative that promotes knowledge exchange and cooperation to foster innovation in 12sustainable agriculture, forestry, and rural areas. In this role, she is responsible for the organization and facilitation of knowledge-transfer activities, including seminars and workshops.
Her research interests focus on complex socio-ecological systems, territorial governance, and strategic spatial planning, with particular attention to the role of green infrastructure in enhancing climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and stakeholder participation in territorial decision-making.
